Tyvek® 1073D (also known as 75gsm) is a durable and yet light, flexible synthetic material made 100% from HDPE (High Density Polyethylene), offering a high dimensional stability and exceptional opacity. The Tyvek® 75gsm spunbound paper is tear and chemical resistant, waterproof, great for a harsh environment - an ideal substrate for UV inkjet, latex and digital printing, perfect for external banners, posters and signs, crafts, backing frames or enclosures.
Both the rough and the smooth side of the Tyvek® sheets are coated with an antistatic agent for outstanding adhesion of inks and glues: although the two sides are printable, full-coverage printing is recommended on the smooth area only.
Tyvek® 1073D can be also sewn, welded or stapled: it features a hard structure style that combines the performances of paper, fabric, film and it capable to keep a shape even when it is folded. Tyvek® 1073D is suitable for offset, litho, screen printing, as well as flexographic, rotogravure and certified for use with liquid toner presses (HP Indigo) but not with laser printers.
