How a paper artist crafted a Lexus using Curious Collection
To qualify as a master craftsman, or Takumi, Lexus engineers are required to demonstrate their dexterity by folding an origami cat – in their non-dominant hand – in under 90 seconds. For the Japanese car manufacturer to commission a model of their new UX 300e electric car in paper, therefore, is perhaps not quite so incongruous as it might first appear. The model car, complete with a paper city through which it cruises, features in a promotional video created by Lexus in tribute to Takumi craftsmanship. The paper car model was built on top of a remote controlled chassis, on a 1:10 scale and included over 100 individual parts.
Novatech Matt is chosen for prestigious publication about print: Strange Types & Odd Sorts
For the first time, the stories of printers in Ireland have been set down in print and the substrate used for the printing of this fascinating new book is Antalis' Novatech Matt. The book, titled Strange Types & Odd Sorts: A Peek into the World of Print in Ireland, is the result of a collaboration between the National Print Museum, in Dublin, and Fighting Words, a creative writing organisation co-founded by author Roddy Doyle.
Using Invercote Creato and cardboard engineering for the creation of royal memorabilia
It’s not every day that a monarch is crowned, so to mark the monumental occasion of the coronation of King Charles III in style, we chose to create a celebratory pop-up card depicting the 700-year-old Coronation Chair! The card is also a showcase for the cardboard engineering suitability of Invercote® Creato, a two-sided coated Solid Bleached Sulphate (SBS) board, with smooth surfaces tailored for the printing of sophisticated images. The pop-up mechanism brings to life Invercote Creato’s features and benefits in a fun and demonstrative way.
