London-based independent record label Ninja Tune is a long-standing client of Delga Press, specialist UK printers of packaging and materials for the public sector, commercial, corporate and entertainment industries. When Ninja Tune approached Delga Press with a project to print the record sleeve and gatefold record sleeve for the vinyl version of electronic dance Duo Bicep’s new album, they had done their research and already had a clear idea of the print substrate they wanted to use.
One of the potential challenges of the project was the use of fluorescent orange ink in the artwork. Sales and Marketing Manager at Delga Press, Oliver Kleinman, comments: “It can be nerve-wracking combining two speciality aspects (uncoated creative paper and fluorescent ink), hoping they come good; but we needn’t have worried.

Curious Matter Goya White 270gsm was printed on a lithographic press, with exceptional results. Selected for “how different and physically stimulating it is”, says Oliver, “The look and feel of the material grabs attention.”
Both Ninja Tune and Bicep were delighted with the result:
The result was great, everyone was very happy with the finished product, and we have already received multiple re-orders. We enjoy working with materials that look and feel different. Projects providing the opportunity to use creative papers to their full effect are few and far between so it’s always a pleasure to work on projects like this one.
