What types of finishes are available in cast vinyl?

Cast vinyl for visual communication projects comes in a wide range of colours and finishes, ensuring creative flexibility. The Oracal 751C series, available from Antalis, offers 117 high gloss colours, as well as matt black and matt white. This variety allows designers and sign makers to achieve precise colour matching and striking visual impact for vehicle graphics, transport advertising, and long-term signage applications.

What are the fire safety ratings for cast vinyl films?

Oracal 751C cast vinyl has been tested for fire safety and complies with DIN EN 13501-1 (B-s1,d0) standards. This means the film is flame retardant, produces little or no smoke, and does not release flaming droplets. These safety credentials make Oracal 751C suitable for demanding environments such as public transport advertising, vehicle graphics and signage projects where compliance with strict fire regulations is required.

Are metallic cast vinyl films as durable as solid colours?

Metallic films in the Oracal 751C plotter vinyl range offer excellent performance, but their service life is shorter than solid colours. While black and white films last up to 8 years outdoors, and clear and coloured films up to 7 years, metallic finishes provide durability of around 5 years. All Oracal 751C films feature strong adhesive power (18 N/25 mm after 24 hours on stainless steel, tested to FINAT TM 1), ensuring reliable application and long-term adhesion on a variety of surfaces.
