Darren comments: “With costs rising in all areas, we wanted to find our client a more affordable solution for their luggage tags. In our search, we tried all sorts of none-tear options from a variety of suppliers, but they just weren’t strong enough to withstand the handling associated with loading and unloading luggage.”
A conversation with his Antalis Account Manager, Mark De Lancey, led Darren to the solution he was looking for.
The Solution
The solution Mark recommended was PRIPLAK® Izilyss, a lightweight yet strong and flexible polypropylene sheet with high opacity that makes it ideal for double-sided printing. PRIPLAK® Izilyss is also 100% recyclable, PVC-free, and has excellent cutting and creasing properties.
Darren discovered not only that PRIPLAK® Izyliss was less expensive than the substrate he had been using, but that it proved to be a better product overall.
The big advantage as far as Darren was concerned was that PRIPLAK® Izilyss is litho printable, which made it ideal for the high volume, CMYK print run required for the luggage tags. There was also no requirement to change the tooling.
The Result
The client is delighted with the new tags – and with the fact that they haven’t had to endure a cost increase. Darren is also pleased with the outcome
We hadn’t used Priplak before and we are really impressed with it, so much so that we are recommending it for other jobs requiring a highly durable material suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
