Curious Collection Vibrant Matt SKIN Range Extended with Fashion Trend Colours

2012/09/19

Antalis is pleased to announce the launch of four intense new colours in the Curious Collection SKIN range of tactile matt papers, produced by Arjowiggins Creative Papers and exclusively distributed by Antalis.

These four colours were developed in collaboration with the trend forecaster Edelkoort Studio to reflect the latest trends in contemporary fashion and design. They join an existing palette of twelve richly vibrant classic and fashion-led SKIN colours, widely specified by luxury brand leaders looking for arresting good looks with a sensuous feel.

The four new colours are:

EMERALD: an ultra-dense, mineral colour that stands out by its strength of character. This precious, vibrant emerald green is ideal to electrify any creation. It is particularly suited to communications that combine technology with luxury.

PURPLE: an intense purple that seems to have come straight out of a fashion show. Its evocative power talks of elegance, femininity and mystery. Very fashion like, it will be perfect in cosmetics, perfume, jewellery, luxury accessories, shoes…

GREY: the ideal tone to make others stand out. Grey from SKIN celebrates the return to minimalism. Like hushed, intimate lighting, it adds composure, restraint and distinction; a sought-after medium in design and architecture.

INDIGO: it sits between the classic ‘bleu de Nîmes’ and the architect’s blueprint. This new shade rubs shoulders with the world of creation. Its natural distinction makes it suitable for event-based and corporate communications alike.

The enhanced range of 16 colours, from whites through vivid shades to deeps, comes in a comprehensive choice of weights, sizes and envelopes:
• 3 grammages: 135, 270, 380g suitable for all applications from text through to a rigid cover weight
• 70 x 100 cm sheet size
• Matching envelopes: DL pocket (22x11 cm) in all colours, square 17x17 cm and large format 31x15.6 cm in selected colours

SKIN is renowned for its intense matt finish and its deliciously tactile surface is resistant to rubbing, finger marking and abrasion. Its depth of colour and stability is achieved by using pigments instead of dyes, which afford faster drying times.

It is ideally suited to luxury brands looking for an uncompromising range of high-value graphic and packaging applications, rigid boxing for exclusive corporate gifts, books and events programmes, garment labels and those extra special invitations. SKIN is compatible with most print techniques including offset litho and silkscreen printing, foil blocking, blind embossing and debossing, UV varnishing, creasing and binding.

Peter Harrison, Operational Marketing Manager for Antalis commented: “We’re delighted to be the exclusive distributors of the new SKIN colours which fit beautifully alongside the existing range of colours and will deliver a premium finish to any communication.”
