Antalis - Our History Antalis is one of the UK’s largest single paper merchants and was formed by the merger of Wiggins Teape and Arjo UK Merchants in 1999. Wiggins Teape was established in 1761, when the original paper merchanting business was formed in Aldgate, London. During the next hundred years the company moved into high volume paper manufacturing and by 1925 had established one of the first true merchanting networks, bringing the benefits of fast delivery of stock items to customers nationwide. Antalis is wholly owned by Sequana Capital, formerly Worms & Cie Group, a global industrial and financial organisation listed on the French stock exchange. Since 1999 nearly 40 independent national and regional paper merchants within the Arjo Wiggins Appleton Group have been merged to form Antalis – a single paper merchanting group with a common identity. Antalis has grown to become the largest paper merchant in Europe. *Including for example: Wiggins Teape, Arjo UK Merchants, ESM Paper, Arjo Wiggins, Société Nouvelle des Papeteries Bonnet Dubost, Repropapier, Sitter, Sefiad, Logad, Tomas Redondo, Mostra, Arjomari Diffusion, CPR, MC2, Guerimand Voiron, Papyrus, Montévrain, Firmo, Kanguros, Mühlebach, Stiassi, Multicarta, Emilcart, Haseldonckx, Alpha Papier, Aarne Laaksonen Oy, Nitech, Smoza, RTC, Röder, Bechtold, Humpert, Expo Europa, Opissa Carta, CS Cartiera del Nord, First paper House, Haddons-Star etc… |
